Cilantro leaf has been used for over 5000 years. It is a historically prolific herb, known for it distinct, parsley-sage flavor in salsas, sauces and soups. Typically used fresh as a culinary garnish for its bright, citrus notes, however the dried leaf can be used in a similar fashion. Cilantro leaf pairs well with onion and garlic and is often added to marinades, dips, and sauces.
